STREAMING & MEDIA ENGINEERING

OneeStreamEngineering demonstrations

Adaptive streaming, from the encoding pipeline to the player.

OneeStream brings together Oneewaee’s media engineering: processing jobs, multiple quality variants, DASH/HLS packaging, protected delivery and an adaptive player. The Android experience includes resume playback, continue watching, media details and touch controls. The work is presented as an engineering demonstration, with application and infrastructure capabilities that can be scoped for an organization’s own or licensed media.

PRODUCT FEATURES

What you can do with the system.

Explore the features of OneeStream and the work they help you do.

01

Backend orchestration

A FastAPI backend connects processing jobs, metadata and the records needed by delivery and playback.

  • Asynchronous API workflows
  • PostgreSQL metadata
  • Processing and playback integration
  • Token-based access
02

Encoding pipeline

The demonstration pipeline uses FFmpeg with NVIDIA GPU acceleration to produce multiple playback variants.

  • FFmpeg processing
  • NVIDIA T4 / NVENC work
  • Multiple quality outputs
  • Encoding-to-packaging pipeline
03

DASH and HLS packaging

Shaka Packager prepares media variants and manifests so compatible players can select the quality that fits the connection.

  • DASH manifests
  • HLS delivery formats
  • Multiple bitrate variants
  • Manifest and segment coordination
04

Protected media delivery

FastAPI and Nginx connect authenticated requests to media delivery. Access decisions belong to the backend and delivery configuration.

  • Backend authorization
  • Token-based requests
  • Nginx delivery
  • API and player integration
05

Adaptive player

The Shaka Player demonstration switches between available qualities as playback conditions change.

  • Automatic bitrate adaptation
  • Manual quality selection
  • 480p / 720p / 1080p variants
  • Web playback integration
06

Android viewing experience

OneeStream demonstrates the application experience around the stream, including viewing continuity and touch controls.

  • Resume playback
  • Continue watching
  • Movie details and cast metadata
  • Volume, brightness and seek gestures

BEHIND THE INTERFACE

How the system works.

01

One pipeline, several responsibilities

Encoding, packaging, authorization and playback have different failure modes. The implementation connects these stages rather than treating a playable file as the entire service.

02

Quality follows available variants

Adaptive bitrate playback needs valid quality variants and consistent manifests. The player chooses among the media the pipeline actually produces.

03

Viewing continuity

Resume and continue-watching behavior connect user state, media identity and playback position across the application and backend.

04

Delivery and rights

A streaming application needs a clear access model and appropriate rights to the media it distributes. Commercial terms, content licensing and deployment controls must be scoped separately.

FROM SETUP TO EVERYDAY USE

Getting started with your team.

01

Prepare and process

Define the source formats and required playback variants, then connect encoding and packaging.

02

Deliver and authorize

Connect the manifests, segments, API and delivery configuration to the intended access model.

03

Integrate playback

Build the player experience, quality controls and viewing continuity around the resulting streams.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

Availability and important details.

  • OneeStream is presented as streaming engineering work. Public app distribution and a commercial content service are not claimed.
  • Public app availability, production capacity and licensing requirements must be confirmed for a specific project.
  • Quality and device support depend on the media variants, formats and player configuration used.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Common questions.

Is OneeStream a commercial movie service?

No. It is presented here as engineering work demonstrating Android playback and the streaming pipeline.

What is adaptive bitrate streaming?

The player selects among available quality variants to suit current playback conditions. The encoding and packaging pipeline must prepare those variants first.

Can Oneewaee build a media platform for our organization?

We can scope the application, processing pipeline, access model, media rights and operating requirements around your project.
